The 2023 Velocity Invitational transformed Sonoma Raceway into North America’s premier motor sport gathering, attracting 20,000 visitors to witness nearly half a billion dollars’ worth of automotive excellence. McLaren Racing’s unprecedented heritage display, including Niki Lauda’s championship-winning MP4/2A-1 and Ayrton Senna’s MP4/6-10, was complemented by current Formula 1 star Lando Norris and CEO Zak Brown’s participation.

Beyond traditional historic racing, the event innovated with unique attractions including a Sprint Car exhibition within Turn 11’s hairpin and DirtFish Rally demonstrations. The programme balanced competitive heritage with contemporary reveals, featuring McLaren’s new ‘3-7-59’ 750S and Ford’s GT Mk IV.

Founded by vintner Jeff O’Neill, the event uniquely combines world-class motor sport with wine country lifestyle, creating a distinctive celebration of automotive culture for enthusiasts and families alike.
