David Knight

When VSCC’s 90th anniversary celebrations faced uncertainty, David Knight’s swift transition from member to lead organiser exemplified exceptional commitment to historic motoring. His management of multiple complex events, including establishing a pop-up hill climb at Impney Estate within 24 hours and coordinating the comprehensive Members’ Gala Day, ensured the celebration’s success.

David’s 40-year VSCC membership encompasses roles from Chief Marshal of the Measham Night Rally to active competitor in his Frazer Nash and Austin Seven. Remarkably, whilst orchestrating the anniversary week, he maintained his voluntary commitments, even organising a competitive event during the celebrations.

His ability to preserve VSCC traditions whilst managing contemporary event challenges demonstrates how individual dedication remains vital to historic motorsport’s future.
