Silverstone Festival

The 2024 Silverstone Festival proved how rebranding can enhance rather than diminish tradition, delivering spectacular racing across a century of motorsport despite challenging British summer weather. From nail-biting historic touring car battles in torrential conditions to Esteban Gutierrez demonstrating Mercedes-AMG’s contemporary W12, the event seamlessly bridged motorsport eras.

A poignant tribute to Ayrton Senna showcased his most significant cars at the circuit where he enjoyed his greatest successes, whilst current Formula 1 presence from Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS, BWT Alpine, Aston Martin Aramco and McLaren provided contemporary context. Global livestreaming doubled viewing figures, extending the Festival’s reach beyond the circuit.

This reimagining of the classic Silverstone weekend demonstrated how historic motorsport events can evolve whilst maintaining their core appeal.
