The International Historic Motoring Awards is delighted to welcome the Petersen Automotive Museum as a sponsor of the Youth Initiative of the Year category for the 2026 Awards.
Based in Los Angeles, the Petersen Automotive Museum is one of the world’s leading institutions dedicated to exploring the history and impact of the automobile and its role in shaping society and culture. Through its exhibitions, educational programmes and community initiatives, the museum works to engage audiences of all ages with the world of automotive history.
The Youth Initiative of the Year award recognises an individual, organisation or initiative that has made an outstanding contribution to engaging young people with historic motoring. The category celebrates projects that help introduce the next generation to automotive history, skills, craftsmanship, engineering and the wider culture surrounding historic vehicles.
The Petersen Automotive Museum has a strong focus on education and inspiring younger audiences, making its support for this category a natural fit with the aims of the International Historic Motoring Awards.

The 2026 International Historic Motoring Awards will take place at The Peninsula London on Friday 13 November 2026, bringing together leading figures from across the international historic motoring community.
The shortlist for Youth Initiative of the Year and the other judged categories will be announced ahead of the Awards, with winners revealed at the ceremony.
